WHERE THE CITY SLEEPS

STRIPED RED BOMBER JACKET: CHARITY SHOP - YELLOW FLORAL DAISY OVERSIZED TOP: *GLAMOROUS - DENIM SHORTS: TOPSHOP - YELLOW POLKADOT STRAP WATCH: SHORE PROJECTS - PLATFORM BOOTS: PUBLIC DESIRE (10% off with code BLOGGERPERKS)

I really love this look, its so casual and laid back and I feel like thats what I always want to wear because its easy but quirky at the same time, I should choose clothes like this more often! Of course then you have to contend with the onslaught of extremely rude men driving past with their windows down shouting annoying degrading things at you. My favourite is the commonly used "you lost your trousers", I assure everyone that I rarely lose my trousers and that they are all safely folded away in my trouser draw.

I've worn this yellow daisy top twice since its arrived (which was only a few days ago) and I plan to wear it again sometime soon so its definitely something for my almost but not certainly permanent wardrobe! (It changes rather regularly). I've had the red and black bomber jacket for four years now, I remember I found it in a charity shop around six months after I started blogging, this will be its fourth excursion into online world. I keep thinking I should sell it as I don't wear it often but its such a statement piece I can't bring myself to do it because it makes everything look instantly cool. I especially like its cropped-ness with my shiny new Public Desire platforms! If you follow my instagram (@kaylahadlington) you'll know late last week many other bloggers and I ventured to Manchester to stay at the Hilton Hotel for the launch party of Public Desire! Their shoes are sooo cool, they are the leaders in the land of affordable cleated heels, and now they've launched their own website selling them all! I'm so tempted to stock up, not that I can walk in any of them, but I can try! These particular boots are surprisingly extremely easy to walk in, or maybe thats compared to the cleated heels I've been wearing recently. Either way, they're staying in my shoe wardrobe because how often do you find pretty platform boots that go with everything and are comfortable and easy to walk in?! Also its 10% off with code BLOGGERPERKS !!

YVES ROCHER// BENEFIT// SLEEK

FLOWER CROWN: MISSGUIDED - MATTE LIPGLOSS: SLEEK - MASCARA: YVES ROCHER - EYESHADOW: BENEFIT COSMETICS - GLASSES: GLASSESSHOP.COM (Use code GSKayla for 20% off anything at Glasses Shop!)

I rarely do makeup reviews, probably because I don't think I'm particularly good at applying my makeup, and I always go for the cheapest makeup, even though I know its not the best (buying super expensive makeup and then finding it doesn't suit you makes me not a happy bunny). Despite this, I have a few expensive makeup brands which I love, mainly being Mac and Benefit. Here I'm using the Benefit World Famous Neutrals palette on my eyes, its my fourth eyeshadow palette that I've had over the past five years and its just as pleasing as the previous ones! I'm also using the R.S.V.P Creaseless Cream Shadow underneath as a base which comes in a palette that Benefit no longer stock unfortunately. I still have lots left though so its ok! The Neutrals palette also comes with Creaseless Cream Shadows but they're more of an earthy colour and right now I'm really enjoying the pinks!

I like to have super big full of volume lashes with probably way too much mascara on (I do enjoy the almost-clumpy mascara look) and a while ago Yves Rocher sent me this Ultra Volume mascara to review. I've been using it for a while and I am loving the results, its a very tiny bottle with a huge brush which is something I always look for in my mascaras (if you're permitted to open them before trying them aha!) The results are very dark and dramatic and I think my eyelashes look bigger than normal which is always good! It kind of reminds me of all the volumizing Rimmel Mascaras apart from its more compact and fancy looking and smells nicer!

Finally I'm also wearing the Sleek Matte Me in Birthday Suit I've been wearing this literally almost everyday for the past two months! I've never really been into nude colours, or lipgloss for that matter, I hate it when my hair gets stuck in it, which it always does. But this is different! It goes on like a lipgloss and then drys matte, and its super opaque and pigmented so the colour is really good! Its just the right amount of nude for my skin tone that it looks half natural and half super striking which is something one really wants to achieve, it reminds me of a 90's lip colour. Also its only £4.99, excuse me while I pop down to boots and buy all the other colours in the range!

WHICH IS FINE BECAUSE YOU'RE MADE OF EVERYTHING I'M NOT IF YOU'RE 555 I'M 666

UNIF DAISY 666 CROPPED RAINBOW HALTERNECK: *DOLLS KILL - WHITE DENIM SHORTS: CHARITY SHOP - WHITE LACE KIMONO: *PRETTY LITTLE THING - PURPLE GLITTERY SOCKS: TOPSHOP - PLATFORM SANDALS: *DAISY STREET - POMPOM HEADBAND: *DIRTY DISCO - IRIDESCENT SUNGLASSES: *ACCESSORYO

When is it ever the correct time to title your blog post with lyrics from The Heretic Anthem by Slipknot? Well, probably when you're wearing a Unif daisy rainbow top with the numbers 666 emblazoned across it from the wonderful land of Dolls Kill. All of a sudden The Heretic Anthem instantly becomes extremely relevant! I'm so excited to be collaborating with Dolls Kill, they are literally my favourite online store. I love that 'normal' isn't a thing for them, or their 'normal' is actually completely crazy. Their clothes in-still confidence in me that I can still wear completely weird things and not feel bad about it!

I decided to pair the top with my pom pom head band from Dirty Disco which is now my new favourite headband, move over flower crowns!! And also my vintage denim shorts and PLT kimono which after this look is posted, is going into retirement as its too long for me (insert very sad face here) Its one of my favourite items of clothing and I've worn it many times, unlike a lot of the clothes I have which only emerge from my wardrobe once! Despite this I can only wear it with platforms and heels because of my mere 5ft 3 self, it always drags on the floor, so I figured its not entirely practical. I hope it shall go to a happier taller home where it will experience many outings where it doesn't drag on the floor!
